Saim Ayub Nominated by ICC in Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year

Saim Ayub, a 22-year-old left-handed opener in Pakistan Cricket Team, has been nominated by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the men’s emerging cricketer of the year 2024 award.

Ayub is one of four candidates for the award, which honors the top up-and-coming talent in international cricket, and he has been playing exceptionally well all year.

Particularly in the 50-over style of International Cricket, Ayub has demonstrated consistency and flair with an impressive total of 515 runs from nine ODIs, averaging 64.37.

He is one of Pakistan’s most promising player because of his exceptional consistency and versatility.

Joining Ayub in the lists are Kamindo Mendis from Sri Lanka, Shamar Joseph from West Indies, and Gus Atkinson from England.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the nominations on December 28, 2024, and the final winners are expected to be announced in January 2025.
