After its predecessor the Vivo Y28 5G, earlier this year, Vivo unveiled the Vivo Y29 5G in India on Tuesday. Vivo hopes to offer a budget-friendly 5G phone, with competitive performance and modern features.
The phone comes with an LCD panel with a size of 6.68 inches, having a punch-hole HDR+ display. It also comes with a 120 Hz Refresh rate, making it smoother and more competitive than phones of other brands.
It is a perfect gadget for day-to-day use. Vivo provides a side-mounted fingerprint in the device to make it more convenient and quick to unlock.
The phone weighs 198 grams, measuring dimensions of 165.75 x 76.1 x 8.1 millimeters making it easy to pick.
The company offered colors are Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, and Diamond Black.
Internals
Inside Vivi Y29 5G, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset is installed for smooth performance and 5G stability insurance. The phone comes with multiple storage options, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A dedicated microSD card slot to increase optional space.
Software
Y29 runs on FunTouch OS which is based on Android 14, simple and user-friendly interface and navigation.
Camera
The rear compartment includes a 50-megapixel camera lens with AI night mode for low-light shots, a 0.08-megapixel supporting lens, and a Dynamic LED flashlight. On the front, it’s an 8-megapixel selfie shooter for sharp images.
Battery
Vivo Y29 contains a 5,500 mAH battery, with 44W fast charging. This allows the phone to live for a long time with a quick recharging facility.
Connectivity
Connectivity features the phone contains are 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, FM, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
