Dewan Farooq Motors Limited (DFML), a renowned name in Pakistan’s automobile industry, has locally assembled over 100 units of the Chinese electric vehicle Honri-VE within a span of three months.
Honri is considered a strong competitor to Japanese low-range segment cars by Suzuki, such as the Wagon R, Alto, Cultus, and Mehran. Muhammad Hanif German, General Manager of Yousuf Dewan Companies, stated that the Honri-VE can be compared to the Suzuki Wagon R in terms of size, seating capacity, and interior.
The company informed that the first 100 units have already been delivered to Eco-Green Motors Limited for onward distribution to customers.
The company has launched two variants of the car: Honri-VE 2.0 and Honri-VE 3.0, claiming a range of 200 km to 300 km on a single charge. The prices range from Rs. 3.99 million to Rs. 4.99 million.
In comparison to the Suzuki Wagon R and Cultus, this car is slightly more expensive than its competitors. However, considering its features and advanced functions, it is worth the price. It is expected to be the most affordable four-seater electric car in Pakistan.
