Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, inaugurated the Sindh Pink Football Tournament for women in Lyari. The ceremony was held at the Lyari International Football Ground in Karachi on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Flanked by Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Bilawal Bhutto highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment in sports and connected it to the vision of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed for the development of women, especially in Lyari.
He assured that the recent development of the Lyari International Football Ground follows all international standards for play and guaranteed the completion of the remaining development by March 2025.
Bilawal Bhutto and CM Sindh presented a professional football used in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
During the event, Bilawal also presented a cheque to boxer Shaheer Afridi, expressing support for local athletes from PPP.
