Pakistan bags 2 Gold, 2 Silver Medal at Malaysia Taekwondo Championship

Pakistan’s outstanding performance: 2 gold and 2 silver medals won in Hero Open Malaysia International Taekwondo Championship organized on 9 August 2025.

In the “Hero Open International Taekwondo Championship” held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Pakistani youth not only brought glory to the country with their outstanding performance, but also achieved significant successes among more than 2,000 athletes from 20 countries around the world.

The players representing Pakistan won a total of 2 gold and 2 silver medals.

Muhammad Umar put in a brilliant performance in the senior category, defeating a Chinese player and winning the gold medal.

Syed Hamza Shah defeated players from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia and won the second gold medal for Pakistan.

Shamil Ali Hussain performed well, winning three consecutive fights, but lost by a narrow margin in the final and was awarded the silver medal.

Hammad Nadeem also managed to reach the final and won the silver medal after putting in an excellent performance.

This success is not only a source of pride for the young generation of Pakistan but will also play an important role in highlighting Pakistan’s positive image at the global stage.
