Pakistani startup BusCaro has secured major funding

BusCaro, a technology-based ride-sharing platform operating in Pakistan, has received investment from Accelerate Prosperity. The ride-sharing service operates in major cities in Pakistan such as Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, and the investment aims to expand and improve urban transport.
The company has not disclosed the size of the investment, but BusCaro has already raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed round. The service has a fleet of over 900 vehicles and processes over 35,000 daily bookings. Their service is mostly used for offices, factories, and schools, etc. They majorly focused on the B2B market.
The company aims to make travel in Pakistan easier, a ride that is safe, secure, and a great option not only for men but also for women and children. Their focus is to reduce the cost of transportation and streamline the availability of the service, so that everyone can benefit from their service.
Accelerate Prosperity provides startup capital, supporting early-stage businesses in South Asia. And this investment in BusCaro supports their goal of growing businesses with greater impact at scale.
