Secretary of Commerce Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti on Thursday 7 August 2025 stated that United States has not imposes any punitory tariff on exports from Pakistan. Currently Pakistan is enjoying lowest tariff from U.S among all countries of the region including India
After the 25% additional tariff on India, MNA Tahira Aurangzeb raised the concern to inquire about Trumps take on Pakistani exports. If United States will increase the tariff, will cause one billion dollar of additional loss to the economy and manufacturing.
Bhatti clarifies that Thankfully we should not worried about tariff by United States. Although 25% leavy imposed to Indian goods, but we are enjoying the lowest tariff in the region.
