Pakistan to Hand Over Islamabad Airport Operations to UAE

The federal government of Pakistan has decided to hand over the operation of Islamabad Airport to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the cabinet committee, which was attended by more government officials, and it was decided to hand over Islamabad Airport to the UAE.
This is a G2G (government-to-government) deal framework, and there is no personal profit involved assured government officials.
Pakistan always takes steps to welcome foreign partners, and this agreement is also to strengthen this step, which will attract international investors and partners to help improve infrastructure.
Islamabad Airport was inaugurated in 2018, but since then it has been struggling with operations, including financial difficulties. The aim of outsourcing the airport is to improve management and infrastructure.
