NCCIA Issues Gambling Notice to Iqra Kanwal and Other Influencers

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) issues a notice for high-profile influencers and social media creators to appear in court on charges of promoting gambling and illegal apps in Pakistan.

The agency ordered Mudassar Hassan, Muhammad Anas Ali, Iqra Kanwal, and Muhammad Husnain Shah to appear in the NCCIA office in Lahore on 2 September.

According to the officials, the reason for the charge is to promote gambling and illegal apps in Pakistan, causing youth to invest in betting and unregulated sites.

NCCIA warns that the failure to appear in court may result in serious consequences, including arrest.

After the arrest of Ducky Bhai and Aroob Jatoi over gambling and betting apps promotion, NCCIA focused on inquiring into all the social media content creators who promoted these apps in the past. Some suggest that creators like Nadir Ali would be the target in upcoming raids.
