Magnitude 5.2 Earthquake Shakes Parts of Karachi

An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 hit several areas of Karachi on Monday night, Tuesday at 12:50 A.M. The tremors of the earthquake jolted parts of Karachi.

According to the observation of people from different locations in Karachi, the time of the earthquake is around 12:50, while several jolts hit in some minutes, having a magnitude of 5.2.

People in DHA, Liaqatabad, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulistan-e-Johar, Lyari, and other prominent areas of Karachi felt the tremors of the earthquake.

According to media reports, cracks appeared in a residential building in Lyari. The location of the building is reported as Lyari, Bantwa Gali, near Baba Arcade.

Police and rescue teams reached the point in no time to cover the building zone and the surroundings for safety. Teams began inspecting the building frequently.

No casualties or harm were reported throughout the night and even in the morning on Tuesday.
