Lahore is Getting a Theme Park to Attract Tourism

The Punjab government has approved a budget of Rs 200 million to build a new theme park in Lahore. These steps have been taken to promote tourism in Pakistan.

A plan is being prepared to build a new theme park in Lahore to improve the personal and city profile of the Punjab government as well as promote tourism and entertainment. Planning and Development Board Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf took the decision on this theme park at a meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP).

According to officials, the aim is to make Lahore a tourism hub where people of all classes can enjoy entertainment. This is the best way to attract domestic tourism and international tourists to Pakistan.

In this meeting, several other projects were proposed to promote tourism, in which Rs 72.15 million was allocated for the Sky Walk Glass Bridge Murree, Rs 90 million was approved for the chairlift and cable car from Lakot to Pindi Point Murree, while Rs 81.57 million was proposed for the cable car of the Indus River Mianwali. In addition, Rs 5.1 billion was approved for the development of roads, IT and infrastructure in Punjab.
