On Sunday 23 June 2024, a nationwide protest by Jamaat-e-Islami in action to ask the current government of Shahbaz Sharif (PMLN) about the promises he created related to basic human needs and free electricity before their government appeared.
People all over the nation faced tough times during Eid-ul-Adha, and now in such heat stroke. Without utilizing the amount of electricity, the public is required to pay huge taxes and bills.
He stated that the electricity bill is no longer just a bill but, a huge “bomb” for both upper and lower-class people. No one can afford such amounts to pay for their profits.
