Junaid Akram Lashes on Indian Media for Publishing Fake News

Pakistani YouTuber Junaid Akram has strongly condemn to an Indian media channel for spreading fake news. He says the channel distorted the truth and preferred sensationalism over real facts.
The matter began when the Indian media outlet “Times of India” published a false news report. The report claimed that Pakistani YouTuber Junaid Akram is actually a Canadian citizen and faced racism while working at a fast food restaurant in Canada.
According to Junaid, the news was completely false. He said that he had never been to Canada, not even for tourism. He said that although he had clarified it several times on Instagram and social media, the false news is still circulating on the internet.
Junaid said the misunderstanding arose from his other YouTube channel, where people share their personal stories and seek advice from him. The Indian media mistakenly took one of the stories — about a man who was born in a Gulf country and later moved to Canada — as Junaid Akram’s own story.
Junaid described the current era as the “post-truth era,” saying that the Indian media is more interested in getting views and clicks than the truth.
Finally, Junaid said that if he really had the citizenship of another country, he would definitely have taken legal action against this false news.
