Pakistan cricket fans and Imran Khan’s followers were not at all pleased with how a legendary cricketer could be ignored due to political views.
Imran Khan is a former Prime Minister of Pakistan and is currently serving his sentence in prison. His government was overthrown and he was imprisoned on multiple charges and false allegations.
After the PMLN government came to power, mentioning Imran Khan’s name, protesting in his favor, even displaying Imran Khan’s slogans, pictures, or flags on the cricket ground were not allowed.
Apart from being a politician, Khan was also a legendary cricketer, an excellent bowler, and a brilliant captain, and his contributions to cricket cannot be forgotten.
Wasim Akram, who has always been a close friend of Khan, tweeted: “End this debate, there is no doubt that Khan was the best skipper Pakistan ever had.”
Khan’s 73rd birthday was greeted by all senior cricketers and sports personalities, except the PCB, that is the reason behind all criticism.
