Punjab Government Issues Ban on Mobile Phones in Schools and Collages

The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution to ban the use of mobile phones in all private and government schools and colleges in the province.

Raheel Khadim Hussain, a government member of the assembly, while presenting the resolution, said that children are the future of this country. Their development, better future, mental health and social development are the responsibility of the government.

According to the resolution, excessive use of mobile phones among children is limiting their social development. Mental health and moral values ​​are also being destroyed. The trend of using mobile phones among students is increasing day by day and teachers are also causing further increase in screen time in the name of digital education.

Keeping these points in mind, the Assembly has banned the use of phones by students in all private and public sector schools and colleges in Punjab.
